Multiplexed analysis revealed reduced activity of integrin αvβ3 and angiogenic activities in Avastin-treated mice
Investigation: Six to eight week-old female Nu/Nu mice implanted with A-673 human colorectal tumor cells. Treatment with Avastin started 7 days later. On Day 1 and Day 6 after treatment began, mice were injected with IntegriSense 680 and AngioSense 750 and imaged 20 hours later using FMT 2500 Imaging System.
Image: Control and treated animals one week after treatment began.
Results correlate with conventional caliper measurement of tumor volumes
Multiplexed analysis shows increase in integrin αvβ3 activity and angiogenesis during tumor development. Close correlation with conventional tumor volume measurements.

Investigation: Control animals injected with LacZ cells, experimental animals injected with mesenchymal stem cells engineered to express the osteogenic recombinant human bone morphogenic protein 2 (rhBMP2). OsteoSense 680 was injected on days 6 and 20. OsteoSense 750 was injected on day 13. In each case, imaging took place after 24 hours.
